DYLEMMA
Dylemma is a South African neurofunk drum & bass producer and DJ emerging as a distinctive force within the global underground. Defined by precision-driven sound design, dark tonal palettes, and hypnotic rhythmic structures, the project delivers high-impact sonic experiences built for peak-time dancefloors.
Originally releasing under the alias Kropz in Crocs, Dylemma represents a refined evolution—shifting toward a more intentional and immersive artistic identity rooted in control, atmosphere, and energy. Early releases such as Heavy Machinery, featured on the Fractal Impact album via Konklave Records, laid the foundation for a sound that balances mechanical aggression with cinematic depth.
Continuing this trajectory, his latest releases Darkness and Alarm have gained international support across key drum & bass platforms, including Crow & Bass, Stonxcast, Bass Rabbit, and Eatbrain Radio—establishing a growing presence within the global neurofunk circuit.
As a performer, Dylemma has shared lineups with respected artists such as TR Tactics, The Duplicates, and Counterstrike, and has delivered high-energy support sets, including opening for The Duplicates. His sets are characterized by seamless transitions, controlled intensity, and a deep understanding of crowd dynamics—designed to maintain momentum and elevate the dancefloor experience.
Beyond the stage, Dylemma plays an active role in shaping the neurofunk landscape within South Africa. As Chief Operations Officer of The Konklave—South Africa’s only dedicated neurofunk event brand—he leads the development of immersive, world-class underground experiences. In parallel, as Record Label Manager for Konklave Records, he oversees artist releases, label direction, and talent development, contributing to the growth of a new generation of neurofunk artists.
With international performances confirmed for 2026 and a clear vision for expansion, Dylemma stands at the intersection of artist and architect—driving both the sound and the infrastructure of a rapidly evolving scene.
