The silo doors blew open at 03:17 and nothing in the blast radius was ever found again - not ash, not bone, not metal. The shockwave traveled fourteen kilometers through the dead district, stripping paint from every Soviet-era block and shattering every window that had somehow survived the war. What crawled out of the crater wasn't fire. It was light - a white, screaming column that burned without heat and whispered in frequencies that made teeth crack. The few who saw it from the outer perimeter didn't run. They stood frozen, pupils dilated to full black, as the column widened and started breathing. Military channels called it a detonation. The survivors called it a door. Nothing that went through it came back human.
