South of Control - Sky Invert

Above the dead southern districts, the sky had been turned inside out. What should have been clouds hung below the towers like torn flesh, and the light that spilled from them moved in the wrong direction, dragging smoke, ash, and prayer signals back into the wound overhead. The control spires kept broadcasting orders to a city that had already drowned in static, but something older was answering now from the inverted heavens. Sirens bent into animal screams. Steel roofs peeled upward. In every shattered window, the same black horizon stared back as if the world below had become the reflection and the real storm was waiting on the other side. By dawn, no one remembered whether the south had lost control, or whether control had finally revealed its true face.
