The first thing the camera caught was not the creature, but the way the hallway had begun to breathe. Wallpaper swelled like infected skin, family portraits leaked black resin from their eyes, and somewhere behind the staircase, something heavy kept laughing through broken teeth and radio static. By the time anyone shouted for their mother to bring the camera, the house had already chosen to witness itself. Every frame revealed more than the eye could hold: a shape unfolding inside the walls, too tall for the ceiling, stitched from old wires, wet bone, and the last panic of everyone who had lived there. The footage survived because the thing wanted it to. Some horrors do not hide from the lens. They use it as a door.
